“ Came here for a brunch with friends after being picked up from the SYR airport. I knew I wanted the BBQ Brunch Stack without toast before going in (GF and like to plan ahead) and my friends all copied my order. Drinks and food came quickly. Bees were a problem outside--the place next door had netting around the tables!--but they didn't mind that we moved inside. Delicious food and great service! ”
“ A couple days ago, the husband and I met up for lunch and decided on Beer Belly Deli when a couple other options were a bust. I've heard mix reviews from some friends of mine so I was going in with an open mind. We were a little surprised that there were no customers in the restaurant at lunch time. We had to go to the bar to advise staff that we were there to eat in, the bartender somewhat reluctantly sat us and gave us menus. We got the feeling that they weren't expecting any customers, kind of awkward. We both enjoyed our meals. I ordered the horsey beef sandwich and thank goodness for chunks of real horseradish in the sauce! The beer braised beef in the sandwich was excellent. The side salad had a few pieces of lettuce that were old and mushy. My husband ordered the Philly steak sandwich and loved it, fries were fresh and tasty as well. The staff who brought out the food was kind and gave us silverware with our meals. The interior is unremarkable from my perspective and could use a deep cleaning. Surfaces looked like they needed some attention. It was nice that they had hand sanitizer at our table. Overall, the food was good. ”
“ I came here with one of my friends and it was great! I got the Philly and the meat was so tender and the fries with their spiced ketchup hit the spot. There was a HUGE beer and cider selection and we got a cider can that was delicious! The service was fast and friendly and although we were told we should make a reservation (and we did), we were able to walk right in and the waiter did not ask for our reservation (keep in mind this is a Tuesday night so weekends might be different). ”
“ I've ordered take out from Beer Belly Deli a few times now and every time it makes my belly happy! And my tastebuds. The stand out for me is the beer brined fries and the spiced beer ketchup, which is soooooo good- a bit tangy, and a touch sweet. The maple aioli with the sweet potato fries is also awesome. Most recently I ordered the Horsey Beef sandwich. It had the perfect zing from the horseradish mayo and oomf from the pulled beer braised beef. Beer Belly Deli makes a solid burger too. Fun fact about this place I want to mention- they have the beef but they also serve Beyond Burgers and veggie patties, which can be put on any of their burgers. Other items vegetarian friendly items are the gouda and cheddar grilled cheese, eggplant wings, and the BBQ ranch eggplant sandwich. Takeout has been easy- my order has usually been ready in 30 minutes or so. Finding parking can be a bit tricky but that's average for the Westscott neighborhood. ”
“ Beer Belly Deli & Pub is casually cool and deliciously indulgent. And, good news? They're currently open for takeout and delivery! Came here earlier in the year for weekend lunch. Two words for you: beer cheese. Their beer cheese is made with a smoky gouda that will rock your socks. They offer a variety of loaded fries. I ordered and enjoyed their beer cheese fries, but was also eyeing their deli fries for next time (fries smothered in pulled beer braised beef, pickled onions, smoky gouda beer cheese, jellied jalapenos, and sriracha). I also ordered and enjoyed their cobalt burger, which is a chuck/brisket burger topped with bleu cheese, bacon, and caramelized onion. All of the burgers on their menu are inventive and a step above your normal pub fare. I would definitely say their menu leans more toward gastropub than basic pub cuisine. The atmosphere is casual and the service is friendly. This spot would definitely be a go-to Friday night delivery as we all stay safe at home if I were still in the area! ”
“ Alcohol in everything: that's Beer Belly's motto. Initially, I was intrigued by their boozy PBJ with red wine jelly, however, I couldn't pass up the preogie special. The preogies were filled with potatoes and cheese and sat upon a bed of roasted vegetables with a dollop of sour cream and a drizzle of sriracha. The dish was warm and satisfying, with the perfect balance of heartiness and spice. Naturally, I ordered the beer cheese fries on the side. I'm a big fan of cheese fries, and these certainly didn't disappoint- they were gooey and tangy. The dining room is way cuter than the outside suggests. On the whole, this isn't a bad spot for a laid back lunch or a casual dinner. ”
“ Big fan of this off the wall-ish, eclectic restaurant. On my first visit I went for the beer battered parm... fab! On my second visit I went for the veggie burger as that was what my friends were eating and bragging about. I had to try it myself, they were correct, another fabulous meal. The cobalt fries and the beer battered pickles are excellent side choices. Though I'm a bourbon fan more so than a beer fan, they did offer a wide array of craft beers that my friends enjoyed immensely. ”
